Overview
Registered in 2009, 'Feng Shui' is a sport of *Hosta* 'Yin' that produces a medium-sized mound of blue-green foliage. The cultivar is distinguished by its broadly ovate, lightly corrugated leaves with cordate bases and a glaucous bloom on both surfaces, which gives the foliage a muted, powdery appearance.
In the Garden
'Feng Shui' reaches 12 inches (30.5 cm) in height and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, forming a dense, mound-like clump with moderate growth. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for blue-leaved hostas, where the glaucous bloom is most pronounced. Companion plantings of ferns, heucheras, or shade-tolerant grasses complement its cool blue tones; its medium size suits it for mixed borders, woodland gardens, or as a specimen in shaded beds.
Care Notes
Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, especially during dry periods; apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like many hostas, 'Feng Shui' is susceptible to slug and deer damage, so protective measures may be necessary in areas where these pests are prevalent.
