Overview
Registered in 1991 by R. O'Harra, this small hosta cultivar is a hybrid of *Hosta* 'Subcrocea'. It is visually distinctive for its narrow, lanceolate green leaves with gold margins and slight yellow undulations, combined with a semi-stoloniferous growth habit.
In the Garden
'Hosta 'Feather Boa' reaches approximately 15 inches (38.1 cm) in diameter and 9 inches (22.9 cm) in height, making it suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or as edging. Its small size and semi-stoloniferous nature allow it to form a low, spreading clump that pairs well with other small perennials such as *Heuchera* or *Tiarella*. It is well-suited to containers and performs best in partial to full shade, as is typical for hostas.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture and apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as with most hostas.
