Overview

A sport of *Hosta* 'Dustin' registered in 2003, 'Dustin More' is a small, mound-forming cultivar distinguished by its blue-green leaves with creamy white margins and unstable streaks of creamy white in the leaf center. The leaves are ovate with tapered bases, lightly folded, very shiny on the upper surface, and bear a glaucous bloom on the underside.

In the Garden

'Dustin More' reaches approximately 8 inches (20.3 cm) in height and 19 inches (48.3 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for blue-leaved hostas, and is well suited for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container plantings due to its compact size. Companion plants with contrasting foliage textures, such as ferns or small-leaved perennials, complement its variegated pattern.

Care Notes

Water regularly during dry periods, particularly in the first growing season. Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, 'Dustin More' is susceptible to slug and deer damage; protective measures may be necessary in areas where these pests are prevalent.
