Overview
Registered in 2010 by F. and S. Freeman, this medium-sized hosta cultivar produces mound-like clumps of ovate, medium green leaves with white margins that are slightly rippled and streaked with white. The leaf blades reach 9 inches (22.9 cm) in length and 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) in width, with 8 to 9 pairs of veins, and exhibit a slight shine on both surfaces. The pod parent is *Hosta* 'Marbled Cream'; the pollen parent is unknown.
In the Garden
This cultivar forms a compact mound 15 inches (38.1 cm) tall and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, with a fast growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, as is typical for hostas, and is well suited to border fronts, woodland gardens, or shaded rockeries. Its medium size and tidy habit make it appropriate for mixed perennial beds or as an edging plant.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as with most hostas.
