Overview
Registered in 2004 as a sport of *Hosta* 'Blue Mammoth', 'Cory's Beauty' is a large, mound-forming cultivar distinguished by its blue-green leaves with broad, flat white margins. The leaves are broadly ovate with cordate bases, deeply corrugated, and measure 10 inches (25.4 cm) long by 7 inches (17.8 cm) wide, with 14 to 16 pairs of veins.
In the Garden
With a mature spread of 36 inches (91.4 cm) and height of 16 inches (40.6 cm), 'Cory's Beauty' forms a substantial mound suitable for mid-border or specimen placement in partial to full shade. The blue-green foliage with white margins pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. Its medium-fast growth rate allows it to fill space within two to three growing seasons.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, particularly during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, this cultivar is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor regularly and apply controls as needed. It performs reliably in typical hosta-growing zones.
