Overview
Registered in 1973 by E. Fisher, this medium-sized hosta is a hybrid of *Hosta* 'Green Piecrust'. Its variegated foliage features gray-green undulated margins, providing a textured appearance distinct from its parent.
In the Garden
'Classic Delight' forms a clump 32 inches (81.3 cm) in diameter and 17 inches (43.2 cm) tall, with leaves 7 inches (17.8 cm) long and 5 inches (12.7 cm) wide bearing 11 vein pairs. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and its medium size suits mid-border positions or shaded woodland gardens. Companion plants include ferns, *Heuchera*, and *Astilbe*; it is not suited for containers due to its mature spread.
Care Notes
Water regularly to maintain even soil moisture, especially during dry spells. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as growth emerges. Slugs and deer may damage foliage; monitor and manage as needed in typical hosta-growing zones.
