Hosta ‘Cerveza’ is a registered cultivar () .

Year registered2009
Section classII-3

Overview

A sport of *Hosta* 'Avocado', 'Cerveza' was registered in 2009 and is distinguished by its large, mound-like habit and green leaves with golden yellow margins. The leaves measure 9.5 inches (24.1 cm) in length and 6.75 inches (17.1 cm) in width, with 12 pairs of veins.

In the Garden

'Cerveza' forms a substantial mound 30 inches (76.2 cm) in diameter and 18 inches (45.7 cm) in height, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of most hostas, and its large size makes it suitable as a specimen or in mixed shade borders alongside ferns, astilbes, or heucheras. Its moderate growth rate and substantial dimensions make it appropriate for mid-border placement rather than container culture.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture during dry periods, applying water at the base to avoid leaf scorch. Fertilize in early spring as shoots emerge; standard slug and deer precautions are advisable for this large-leaved cultivar.
