It is distinguished by its dark green leaves with broad, medium gold margins and a semi-upright growth habit, reaching 44 inches (111.8 cm) in diameter and 26 inches (66.0 cm) in height with a moderate growth rate.

Hosta 'Celebrity' performs best in partial to full shade, where its dark green leaves with 1.5-inch (3.8 cm) wide, medium gold margins maintain their color contrast. The leaves are 10 inches (25.4 cm) long and 9.5 inches (24.1 cm) wide, with a cordate base, 10 to 11 vein pairs, and a dull upper surface with a slightly shiny underside. Its semi-upright habit and moderate growth rate make it suitable for mid-border positions or as a specimen plant in shaded beds.
