Overview
Registered in 2000, 'Carisa Nichole' is a medium-sized hybrid hosta distinguished by its blue-green leaves with wide, flat golden-yellow margins. The leaf blades are cordate at the base, dull on the upper surface, and slightly shiny beneath, with nine to eleven pairs of veins.
In the Garden
'Carisa Nichole' forms a dense, fast-growing mound reaching 15 inches (38.1 cm) in height and 36 inches (91.4 cm) in diameter. It performs best in partial to full shade, as is typical for blue-green hostas, and is suitable for borders, woodland gardens, or as a groundcover. Its medium size and vigorous growth make it a useful filler in mixed shade plantings.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable for this cultivar.
