Overview
Registered in 1988 by E. Smith and the British Hosta and Hemerocallis Society, 'Camelot' is a medium-sized hosta derived from the *H.* Tardiana Group. Its most distinctive feature is the blue-green foliage with prominent, slightly undulating margins, borne on a compact mound.
In the Garden
This cultivar forms a dense, rounded clump reaching approximately 22 inches (55.9 cm) in diameter and 14 inches (35.6 cm) in height. It performs best in partial to full shade, where the blue-green leaf coloration is most pronounced. The moderate size makes it suitable for the middle of a shaded border or as a specimen in a woodland garden; it pairs well with ferns, *Heuchera*, and other shade-tolerant perennials.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Slugs and deer may damage the foliage, so monitoring and appropriate control measures are advisable in typical hosta-growing zones.
