Overview
Registered in 2012 as a sport of unknown parentage, *Hosta* 'Bridal Falls' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by its blue-green leaves with broad, creamy white, flat margins and intensely wavy leaf edges. The deeply impressed veins and glaucous bloom on the leaf undersides further contribute to its visual character.
In the Garden
This cultivar forms a mound-like clump reaching 18 inches (45.7 cm) in height and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, with a fast growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and its medium size makes it suitable for mid-border positions or as a groundcover in shaded beds. Companion plants such as ferns, heucheras, or shade-tolerant grasses complement its blue-green and white foliage.
Care Notes
Water regularly to maintain consistent soil moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, 'Bridal Falls' is susceptible to slug and deer damage, so protective measures may be necessary in areas where these pests are prevalent.
