Overview
A sport of an unnamed parent, *Hosta* 'Bounty' was registered in 2015 and is classified as a small cultivar. It is visually distinctive for its blue-green leaves with creamy white margins and a glaucous bloom on both surfaces, creating a muted, two-toned effect.
In the Garden
This cultivar forms a compact, mound-like clump reaching approximately 7 inches (17.5 cm) in height and 9 inches (22.9 cm) in diameter, with a slow growth rate. It is suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container culture, and performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones. Its small size and thick leaves make it a good companion for other miniature hostas, ferns, or small woodland perennials.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. The thick leaves offer some resistance to slugs, though standard slug control measures are still advisable in damp conditions.
