Overview
Registered in 2011, *Hosta* 'Bohemian Rhapsody' is a medium-sized cultivar of unknown parentage. It is visually distinguished by its dark green, broadly ovate leaves with dull surfaces, creamy white margins of 0.25 to 0.5 inches (0.6 to 1.3 cm), and a lightly cupped form with a cordate base.
In the Garden
'Bohemian Rhapsody' forms a mound-like clump reaching 14 inches (35.6 cm) in height and 27 inches (68.6 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. Its medium size suits border fronts, woodland gardens, or shaded containers.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as with most hostas.
