Overview

Registered in 2016, this small-sized sport of *Hosta* 'Manzo' is distinguished by its heavily rippled, twisted leaves with creamy white centers and irregular two-tone green margins. The cultivar name references its Bohemian origin and the rotund, fleshy appearance of its foliage.

In the Garden

'Hosta 'Bohemia Fatty Manzo' reaches approximately 10 inches (25 cm) in height and spreads to 20 inches (50 cm) in diameter, forming a dense, fast-growing clump via rhizomes. Its small stature and distinctive wavy foliage make it suitable for the front of shaded borders, rock gardens, or container plantings. It pairs well with fine-textured shade perennials such as ferns or *Heuchera*.

Care Notes

Grow in partial to full shade in moist, well-drained soil typical of hosta-growing zones. Water regularly during dry periods and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage.
