Overview

Registered in 1976 by P. Aden, *Hosta* 'Blue Vision' is a medium-sized cultivar of unknown parentage. It is visually distinctive for its blue-green foliage, with leaves displaying blue-green margins and 16 pairs of veins.

In the Garden

'Blue Vision' reaches a mature height of 22 inches (55.9 cm) and a spread of 15 inches (38.1 cm), with scapes rising to 24 inches (61.0 cm). It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of most hostas, and is suitable for borders, woodland gardens, or as a specimen in mixed shade beds. Its medium size and blue-green leaves pair well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials.

Care Notes

Water regularly to maintain even soil moisture, especially during dry spells. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like many hostas, 'Blue Vision' is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor and manage as needed in the garden.
