Overview
Registered in 2010 by R. Kuenster (AHS), this small-sized hosta produces a dense mound of blue-green foliage with distinctive wavy, pointed leaf tips. The ovate leaves, measuring 5 inches (12.7 cm) long by 3 inches (7.6 cm) wide, exhibit light cupping, twisting, and waviness along the margins, with 6 to 8 pairs of veins.
In the Garden
Reaching 11 inches (27.9 cm) in height and 20 inches (50.8 cm) in diameter with a moderate growth rate, this cultivar forms a compact, mound-like habit suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container plantings. It performs best in partial to full shade, as typical for blue-green hostas, and pairs well with small ferns, heucheras, or fine-textured groundcovers. The scapes rise 16 to 20 inches (40.6 to 50.8 cm) above the foliage.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture during establishment and throughout the growing season, applying a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are recommended for typical hosta-growing zones.
