Overview

Registered in 1982 by R. Savory, this small hybrid of *Hosta venusta* produces compact clumps with variegated foliage. Its ovate leaves have medium green margins and a lighter center, with 3 to 4 vein pairs per leaf.

In the Garden

Mature plants reach 12 inches (30.5 cm) in height and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, forming a dense mound suitable for the front of borders or rock gardens. It performs best in partial to full shade and pairs well with other small hostas, ferns, or shade-tolerant groundcovers. Its compact size makes it appropriate for container cultivation.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture during the growing season, particularly in dry spells, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with most hostas, plants may be damaged by slugs and deer in typical hosta-growing zones.
