Hosta "Aoki" review

'Fortunei Aoki'. Dark green leaves with a slight grey bloom on the underside, 10" x 8". Leaf margins are darker in Spring. Lavender pink flowers on 25-42" scapes. Fertile. Dark green; smooth. Leaf margins are darker in the spring, flowers are pale blue. The leaf surface is wrinkled at maturity. It also was registered by AHS in 1987 but has been around since 1915. Named by von Siebold for Aoki Kon'yo, who produced the first Japanese-Dutch dictionary. Considered a clone of the Hosta 'Fortunei Hyacinthina' group. The leaves are cordate.
