Overview
Registered in 2003, 'All This and Heaven Too' is a giant hosta of unknown pollen parentage, arising from a *Hosta* 'Dorothy Benedict' F-1 seedling. It is visually distinctive for its heavily corrugated, broadly ovate blue-green leaves with unstable streaking and wide, rippled margins in light green, medium green, greenish yellow, and yellow.
In the Garden
This cultivar forms an upright, fast-growing clump reaching 35 inches (88.9 cm) in height and 45 inches (114.3 cm) in diameter. It performs best in partial to full shade, where its heavy substance and glaucous bloom are maintained. The large, deeply corrugated leaves and white-backed undersides make it a strong specimen plant for the middle to back of a shaded border; it pairs well with ferns, *Heuchera*, and other bold-textured perennials.
Care Notes
Water regularly during dry periods, particularly in the first growing season. Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. The thick leaves offer moderate slug resistance, but standard slug control measures may still be warranted in damp conditions.
