Hosta "You're So Vein" review
Dark leaf vein pattern. Very thick leaves. 2016 Plant Delights Nursery introduction from a cross made in 2003 between a Hosta longipes hybrid and Hosta 'Blue Mouse Ears'. Hosta 'You're So Vein' forms a vigorous but slowly offsetting 6" tall x 15" wide clump of dark green, cardboard-like, 3.5" wide leaves. The leaves emerge with unique grey green vein highlights...a trait we've never seen this dramatic on a hosta. The dwarf clumps are topped in early July (NC) with 7" spikes of medium lavender flowers.
