Hosta "Twist of Fate" review
This is my seedling of ((montana praeflorens X sieboldiana 'Elegans') X (sieboldiana 'Elegans' X montana praeflorens)) X ventricosa. It won best of show at the Potomac Hosta Club's 1999 Cut-Leaf Show. The first seedling in the cross we have given a garden name of "Thunder Dome" looks like 'Elegans' buts grows as fast as montana praeflorens. The result, which is pictured, we have given the garden name (and plan to register it next years) of "Twist of Fate". Note the ventricosa shaped leaf and twisting with the pruinosity (wax coated blue) of the sieboldiana line. Note also the white back!
