Overview
Registered in 2005, *Hosta* 'Triple Ripple' is a large, fast-growing cultivar derived from a seedling of *H.* 'Dorothy Benedict'. It is visually distinctive for its heavily rippled, blue-green leaves with broad, greenish-yellow margins and a glaucous bloom on the undersides.
In the Garden
This cultivar forms a substantial mound 24 inches (61.0 cm) high and 45 inches (114.3 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for mid-border or as a specimen in partial to full shade. Its large, corrugated leaves with wavy margins provide strong textural contrast when paired with finer-leaved perennials such as ferns or *Heuchera*. It is not suited for containers due to its size.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during establishment, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring. As with most hostas, slug and deer damage may occur; monitor and manage as needed in typical hosta-growing zones.
