Overview

Registered in 2012 as a seedling from the cross of *Hosta* sdlg PDN 95-349 (pod parent) and *H. 'Elvis Lives'* (pollen parent), 'Triangulation' is a small, mound-forming cultivar notable for its broadly ovate, medium green leaves with wide, creamy white, flat margins. The leaf surface is dull above and below, and the blade is moderately flat with a cordate base, contributing to a clean, compact appearance.

In the Garden

'Triangulation' reaches a mature height of 10 inches (25.4 cm) and a spread of 19 inches (48.3 cm), with a slow growth rate that suits it for small-scale plantings, rock gardens, or the front of a shaded border. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, and pairs well with other small hostas, ferns, or shade-tolerant groundcovers. Its modest size also makes it suitable for container culture.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with most hostas, protect from deer and monitor for slug activity, particularly in damp conditions.
