Overview
Registered in 2001, *Hosta* 'Towering Inferno Remembered' is a large, upright cultivar of unknown pollen parentage, with *H.* 'Galaxy' as the pod parent. It is visually distinctive for its bold, deeply corrugated and leathery blue-green leaves that are streaked with yellow, creamy white, and golden yellow along slightly rippled margins.
In the Garden
This cultivar reaches a mature height of 30 inches (76.2 cm) and a spread of 33 inches (83.8 cm), with an upright, moderately vigorous habit. It performs best in partial to full shade, where its glaucous leaf undersides and prominent vein pairs (14 per leaf) are most visible. The towering scapes, 33 to 36 inches (83.8 to 91.4 cm) tall, bear medium green flowers; the plant pairs well with ferns or other shade-tolerant perennials that contrast its bold leaf texture.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with many large-leaved hostas, slug and deer damage may occur and should be managed through routine garden practices.
