Overview

Registered in 2006, *Hosta* 'Tornado Glenn' is a small-sized cultivar resulting from a self-cross of *H. 'Swoosh'*. It is visually distinctive for its ovate, green leaves with white margins that are streaked with greenish-white and greenish-yellow, and for its slightly rippled leaf surfaces.

In the Garden

With a mature diameter of 29 inches (73.7 cm) and height of 13 inches (33.0 cm), this small hosta is well-suited for the front of a shaded border or rock garden. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of most hostas, and pairs effectively with fine-textured shade perennials such as ferns or *Heuchera*. Its compact size also makes it suitable for container culture.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with many hostas, slug and deer damage may occur and should be managed as needed.
