It performs best in partial to full shade, as is typical for gold-margined cultivars, and its small size makes it well suited for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container plantings. Companion plants might include small ferns, heucheras, or other miniature hostas that complement its low, spreading form.

Care Notes

Water regularly during dry periods, particularly in the first growing season to establish the rhizomatous root system.
