Overview

Registered in 2011, *Hosta* 'Timeless Treasure' is a giant variegated cultivar derived from *H. 'Sea Monster'* as the pod parent and an unnamed seedling as the pollen parent. Its most distinctive features are the intensely corrugated, deeply cupped leaves with medium green, very slightly rippled margins and a thick, slug-resistant substance.

In the Garden

This cultivar reaches a mature spread of 48 inches (121.9 cm) and a height of 37 inches (94.0 cm), with an upright, slow-growing habit. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, and its substantial foliage makes it a strong specimen plant for the middle or back of a shaded border. The large, deeply textured leaves pair well with fine-textured companions such as ferns or *Heuchera*.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. The thick leaf substance offers notable slug resistance, though standard deer deterrents may still be necessary in areas with heavy deer pressure.
