Hosta ‘The Enforcer’ is a registered cultivar () .

Year registered2009
Section classIII-7

Overview

Registered in 2009 from a seedling of unknown parentage, 'The Enforcer' is a medium-sized hosta distinguished by its blue-green leaves with creamy white streaked margins. The foliage exhibits a slight shine on the upper surface and a thin glaucous bloom beneath, with ovate leaves that are moderately folded and have cordate bases.

In the Garden

This cultivar forms a mound 28 inches (71.1 cm) in diameter and 11 inches (27.9 cm) tall with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, as is typical for blue-green hostas, and its compact size suits border fronts or shaded rock gardens. The leaf coloration provides contrast when paired with golden or chartreuse foliage plants.

Care Notes

Water regularly during dry periods to maintain consistent soil moisture, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as growth emerges. Like most hostas, 'The Enforcer' is susceptible to slug damage and deer browsing, so protective measures may be necessary in areas where these pests are prevalent.
