Overview

Registered in 2007, *Hosta* 'Thank You' is a medium-sized cultivar resulting from a cross between *Hosta* 'Fascination' (pod parent) and *Hosta* 'Sagae' (pollen parent). It is visually distinctive for its nearly round, blue-green leaves with broad, creamy white margins and a glaucous bloom on both surfaces.

In the Garden

This cultivar forms a dense, mound-like clump reaching 18 inches (45.7 cm) in height and 48 inches (121.9 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, where the blue-green leaf centers and wide margins hold their color well; excessive sun may scorch the white margins. Its substantial leaves and rounded habit make it suitable for mid-border positions or as a specimen in shaded beds, where it pairs effectively with ferns or other shade-tolerant perennials.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage, so protective measures may be necessary in areas where these pests are prevalent.
