Overview

A sport of *Hosta* 'Mango Tango' registered in 2012, 'Tango Twist' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by its twisted, broadly ovate leaves with creamy yellow centers and wide, medium green, flat margins. The leaf surfaces are dull on top and slightly shiny beneath, with six to eight pairs of veins.

In the Garden

'Tango Twist' forms a mound-like clump reaching 19 inches (48.3 cm) in height and 34 inches (86.4 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, as typical for hostas, and its medium size suits placement in the middle of a border or as a specimen in a shade garden. Companion plants include ferns, heucheras, and shade-tolerant grasses that complement its variegated foliage.

Care Notes

Water regularly to maintain consistent soil moisture, especially during dry periods. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, 'Tango Twist' may be susceptible to slug and deer damage in garden settings.
