Hosta "Steffi" review
'Steffi' is a sport of 'Saint Elmo's Fire' that she discovered there at the nursery. Here's what she says about it: "This hosta won't ever go to First Look because its best attributes need to be observed throughout the season. The rounded leaves emerge apple green with cream edges and maintain this color through early summer. The color then slowly changes until by September the leaf center is the darkest "black" green of any hosta here and the edges are bright white, creating a strong contrast. The leaves hold up well through early frosts, making 'Steffi' one of the last hostas to give in to the cold. Medium, with better than average substance and good rate of growth.
