Hosta "Sparkler" review
The Sparkler Hosta is a sport if Fireworks. The leaves of this plant closely resemble a lance or sword in their shape. The color is a greenish yellow with a creamy white center. Because of the shape of the leaves, a clump of this hosta resembles the end of a lit sparkler which is where it got its name. Partial shade is the best option for this amazing plant. First Look 2008 Kevin Vaughn & Frances Williams Awards (Best Sport Judges & Attendees). Amy Bergeron of Walters Gardens wowed the attendees at First Look 8 with this cool sport of 'Fireworks'. It won both of the named sport awards and many who saw it have been waiting patiently for their chance to get one. 'Sparkler' stays small and grows much better than the difficult 'Fireworks'.
