Hosta "Quinnipiac" review
New from Alex Malloy is this sport he discovered from 'Blue Cadet'. He calls it 'Quinnipiac'. Bet you're all wondering what the heck a Quinnipiac is? Well, you came to the right place. We have to confess that like some of Alex's other introductions, we had to do a search on the internet to find out. The Quinnipiac were a peaceful and friendly Indian tribe in the Connecticut area who faded away mostly due to European introduced diseases. A river, university, and other things in the area are named for them. They built dome-shaped wigwams that could be 8 ft. high and 16 ft. around. We are pretty sure the hosta won't get that big, however. If this plant starts to sport, we sure hope Alex doesn't use names from the Quinnipiac tribe because we'll never learn how to pronounce them. Here's just a few: Momauguin, Shaumpishuh, Sugcogisin, Quesaquanash, Carroughhood, Wesaucucke.
