Emerald Tiara

Hosta "Emerald Tiara" review

15" tall. Part Sun to Light Shade. Medium green margin with gold center, cordate, flat leaves, 4" x 3". 28" scape with purple flowers. Medium sized gold with green margin. A very choice plant. This reverse mutation of Hosta 'Golden Tiara' boasts the same round leaves, but with gold centers and a nice green edge. This vigorous clumper to 2' wide sports hundreds of dark lavender flowers in summer... nice! Yellow center becoming chartreuse with age, narrow green margins. A reversed variegation of 'Golden Tiara'. (Plant 20x14) A reversed form of Golden Tiara, leaves are gold centered with green margins. Interesting in a mass planting combined with Golden Tiara. Purple flowers. A Walters Gardens, Inc. introduction of a reverse 'Golden Tiara'. Green leaf margin with gold center. Dark purple flowers with white veining in late June. May repeat. Good grower. 30" scapes. This is a reverse 'Golden Tiara'. Green leaf margin with gold center somewhat resembling a small 'Gold Standard'. Greatly appealing! Purple flowers. 50 - 90 % shade.
