Abby

Hosta "Abby" review

8" tall. Light shade. Found in a clump of natural 'Gold Drop', deep blue-green with irregular yellow mutated edge, slightly rippled heart shaped leaves, compact grower, lavendar flowers. Named for our granddaughter. This is our newest favorite... a blue green centered sport of Hosta 'Gold Drop'. Hosta 'Abby' makes the same fast growing cute little 18" wide clump, except the leaves are blue green with a limey gold edge. In early summer, the clump is smothered with lavender flowers on 18" scapes. Dark green leaves have yellow to chartreuse margins of variable width, some streaking. A sport of 'Gold Drop', the leaves are green with a gold margin. Similar to 'Golden Tiara' but leaf center is darker. Forms a neat, low mound, good for edging. Grows and multiplies rapidly. Lavender flowers. This rapid growing Hosta, is a nice blue/green with yellow edges. Great bedding plant. 4" long, heart shaped, dark green leaves with yellowish margins. Lavender flowers in June. Very prolific.
