Guacamole

Hosta "Guacamole" review

In 2002, Hosta Guacamole was called “Host of the Year” (AHS, USA) Large, rounded, glossy leaves have an apple-green tint. The leaves rise above the earth thanks to long petioles growing vertically upwards. The tips of the leaves bend gracefully creating a fountain effect. At the beginning of the season, a dark green border appears around the apple center. Gradually, the middle of the leaves brightens, acquiring a golden hue. If Hosta Guacamole is grown in a sunny place, the center of the leaf will have a more intense golden color. The flowers are pale lavender, almost white, large and very fragrant. The Hosta plant blooms in August and September. It is one of the best hostas among the varieties with fragrant flowers.
