Description
Grown for their decorative foliage, Hostas make excellent ground cover.
These hardy perennials form dense mounds of foliage in a multitude of shapes and colours, which might be complimented by upright flower spikes in summer.
Absolute best for flippantly shaded areas where they’ll appreciate some protection from the midday sun.
Mass them in combination in generous clumps for a spectacular display in perennial borders, or plant them into patio containers as individual specimens.
Grow Hosta plants in sun or dappled shade, on wealthy, moist, well-drained soil. Plants can grow well in a sunny border, but will want to be kept reliably moist. Plants might perform better on somewhat acid soils.
