This hosta is a one among a type! Here now we have the ‘Curly Fries’ Hosta, proud winner of the American Hosta Growers’ Association Hosta of the Year 2016.
‘Curly Fries’ is easiest for tucking into small spots or for growing in containers and contrasts nicely with blue sorts. This hosta forms an arching, wiggly clump of extremely rippled, narrow leaves that emerge chartreuse and brighten to yellow. Lavender flowers are found topping this clumps come midsummer.
Mature plant size produces clumps of four-6 inches in height and unfold 14-16 inches across and can develop red speckled petioles. ‘Curly Fries’ thrive in prerequisites of section sun to light shade.
