Growing Info: Scarification: Add moisture, mix seed with very fine peat or sand. Stratification: none required. Germination: Germination will take place 1 week to one month, does not require light, however the seeds do want to be warm.
Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in part shade to full shade. Does very best in a wealthy, moist soil in light, dappled shade.
Includes a mound of narrow, medium green leaves edged with pure white, with racemes of orchid-like, purple striped flowers on 18″ scapes. A dependable and versatile perennial requiring little care. Grown primarily for its beautiful foliage which supplies color, contrast and texture to the landscape. Dense foliage crowds out so much garden weeds.
Hostas are a mainstay of the shade garden. This miniature hosta may also be mixed with other perennials within the border front, rock garden or woodland garden, or used as an edging plant, or massed and divided to create a ground cover for small areas.
